Biotrans Transportation Costa Rica Policies and Terms -Hotels, Tours & Transportation service reservations: This terms and conditions can only be change by the approval of the company CEO and the Client mutual agreement. Transportation reservations: From $50 to $100 depending on the destination non-refundable deposit is required to begin making reservations after agreement on the services the services to provide or 50% of the transfers if it is more $100. Bookings including travel dates from Dec 10 to Jan 10 and for Easter week require payment in full within 7 days of confirmation and are nonrefundable. Hotel Reservations: Deposit is required to begin making reservations after agreement. Bookings including travel dates from Dec 10 to Jan 10 and for Easter week require payment in full within 7 days of confirmation and are non-refundable. Payment and Cancellation policies are directly set up by each Hotel and should be attached via e-mail so the client is clearly informing of each hotel reservation and cancellation terms and conditions. Final Payment: Excluding the particular dates mention above, final payment is due 30 days prior to departure. Bookings confirmed within 30 days of departure require payment in full within 5 working days. Payment Policy: No Checks are accepted…only Credit Card by authorization, direct online secured payment link or Wire Transfer must be received by full payment deadline. Cancellation Policy: Biotrans Transportation Costa Rica reserves the right to cancel any reservation which could affect the company in any way (libel / slander, economical loss, or any other). Rights to refunds if you change or cancel your reservation are limited. The following fees apply: • 30 to 15 days’ prior arrival in C.R.- $100 plus all penalties & costs • 14 to 7 days’ prior arrival in C.R. – 50% of tour plus all penalties & costs • 6 days’ prior arrival in C.R. – NO REFUND • Bookings from Dec 16 to Jan 10 and for Easter Week are non-refundable. All penalty fees are applicable above and beyond any air ticket cost. Cancellations must be received in writing. No refunds will be made for unused travel services, nor is the price or value exchangeable for alternative services. Late bookings: Biotrans Transportation Costa Rica does take late bookings but they should be paid as soon as the reservations are confirmed. Rates subject to change without notice: Rates for transportation only are subject to change without notice since might be alternative routes to be taken according to the client needs or cost fluctuations. Insurance: We have all the transportation accident full coverage, still we recommend that travelers purchase their own short term travel insurance covering baggage loss, accident/life and trip cancellations. This is available through many travel agencies and through leading insurance companies. Payment: In order to provide the out-most security to all parties involved payments are accepted by cash, credit card or wire transfer only. Payments from banks outside of the United States require payment by bank draft in U.S. dollars. Expenses for wire transfers commissions are not covered by Biotrans Costa Rica Travel Site. The Client would follow the company policies if want to reserve the service. If not that client could be charged by the CC or by mail …if there is proven of some certain irregularities in the cancellation of reservations or services. For not following the protocol of local and international commercial laws by contact a commercial site without follow the protocols of cancellation. Documentation: U.S. citizens need to have a valid passport (visa is required for some countries). It is the responsibility of all those traveling to obtain information and proper documentation. Transportation Costa Rica and its agents accept no responsibility for changes in documentation requirements nor for any departure or entry denials. Passengers denied boarding for lack of documentation will receive no refund. Full cancellation policies apply to cancellations due to incorrect documentation. Schedule Changes and Delays: All travel itineraries are based on the best information available at the time of confirmation. Due to the nature of international travel changes to schedules and itineraries may be necessary and may also prevent some of the scheduled activities to be completed. NO REFUNDS CAN BE GIVEN FOR SUCH ELIMINATION. We do not accept economic and civil responsibilities for losses or accidental expenses due to changes or delays in airline or hotel overbooking, defaults, weather, strikes, sickness, war, riots, theft, acts of nature, vandalism, medical and hospitalization expenses or any other causes not within the power of Transportation Costa Rica. All such losses or expenses are the responsibility and are assumed by the traveler. Responsibility: All travel documents and vouchers issued by Biotrans Transportation Costa Rica and its agents are subject to the terms and conditions of the supplier, to the laws of their countries, and to international conventions between countries. The traveler agrees that Biotrans Transportation Costa Rica, its agents, affiliates and employees, shall not be liable for any damages and losses incurred, or any other causes not within the power of Biotrans Transportation Costa Rica. We do not accept economic and civil responsibilities for losses or accidental expenses due to hotel overbooking, defaults, weather, strikes, sickness, war, riots, theft, acts of nature, vandalism, medical and hospitalization expenses or any other causes not within the power of Biotrans Transportation Costa Rica. All such losses or expenses are the responsibility and are assumed by the traveler. All participants expressly wave any and all rights which one may have against Biotrans Transportation Costa Rica its agents, officers, or employees caused by the negligence of such persons in connection with foregoing. Under no circumstance is Biotrans Transportation Costa Rica to be construed as a carrier or common carrier under contract for safe passage of the traveler or for luggage and/or belongings. By enrolling in and tendering payment for any and all services participants agree to accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions on this Web Site. No other person other than an officer of Biotrans Transportation Costa Rica, by document in writing, is authorized to waive or alter any condition with the foregoing. ***Changes to this contract can only be made with the approval of the CEO of the Company with the previous knowledge of the client and agreement of both parts. Traveling with Children: Children pay full fare on buses if they occupy a seat, but often ride for free if they sit on a parent’s knee. Children under 12 pay a discounted fare (variable) on domestic airline flights and get a seat, while infants under two pay 10% of the fare but don’t get a seat. Children’s car seats are not always available in Costa Rican car rental agencies, so bring one if you plan on driving. In hotels, the general rule is simply to bargain, except in top-end hotels, where counts are normally posted. Children should never pay as much as an adult, but whether they stay for half price or free depends on the hotel policies or is open to discussion. A few hotels don’t allow children at all or under a certain age to maintain a quiet atmosphere or if the architecture is too dangerous for them. While ‘kids’ meals’ (small portions at small prices) are not normally offered in restaurants, it is perfectly acceptable to order a meal to split between two children or an adult and a child. P.S. Foreigners travelling with children will meet here with extra, generally friendly, attention and interest. Costa Ricans love Children.
